He could leave at any moment and get there much faster on his own. Or he could stay.

Maybe this painting is about learning that you don't always have to do everything yourself and that letting someone else carry you sometimes means giving up a little control.

Or maybe it's just a hummingbird catching a ride on a rubber duck.
