Belonging isn’t always something we search for.
Going Home grew out of a feeling I return to often, the familiarity of the woods behind the village where I grew up. Thin trees, snow on the ground in winter, and the quiet certainty of knowing the way without thinking. It was a place I moved through as a child with complete trust, guided by instinct rather than direction.
The light in this work is gentle and restrained, with shadows that soften rather than obscure. It carries the tenderness of winter and the quiet safety of childhood - a sense that even in stillness, something is watching over you. While rooted in my own experience, Going Home invites viewers to connect with their own places of belonging, where trust, memory, and presence meet.
