There is something almost magical about flying a kite on the beach, especially when the sun is going down and the whole sky seems to become part of it.

Threads of Light came from watching one of those ordinary moments become something worth stopping for.

Artwork Story

People come to Natural Bridges to photograph the rock, especially at sunset. The light changes, the water reflects the sky, and for a little while the whole place looks different.

But what caught my attention were the children flying a kite.

There is something about a kite that still feels like magic. A little piece of fabric catches the wind, the string pulls tight, and suddenly you're connected to something flying high above you.

Maybe you're the child holding the string. Maybe you're the person standing nearby, watching with wonder. Maybe you're the one trying to capture the moment before the light disappears.

Some moments don't need to be extraordinary to feel like magic.
