Not everything needs to happen on our schedule.
Waiting for the Tide is about being comfortable where you are, going with the flow, and staying open to whatever might happen along the way.
Artwork Story
I painted this pelican because I loved the light, the open wings, and how completely at home he seemed in the water.
Pelicans live by rhythms they don't control. The tide changes. Fish move. The light shifts. There are times to fly, times to hunt, and times when there isn't much to do except wait and pay attention.
Maybe we're not so different. We spend a lot of time trying to make things happen exactly when and how we planned. But sometimes the better choice is to go with the flow for a while and see what comes.
Something unexpected might happen along the way.
Or maybe nothing does.
Either way, the pelican seems perfectly fine with it.
Sometimes you just have to wait for the tide.
